The Positive Youth

Where is the next generation of inspiring musicians, artists, and creators, with hearts burning with desire to share their gifts for the betterment of the world? Truly, they are all around us, and it's likely we don't even know them. They may not yet have mustered up the courage to join the open mic at the coffee shop on the corner, or publish their first podcast episode. These, my friends, are the Positive Youth.

While it's true that we can't know them until we see that first glimmer, we know they're out there. If they've already made themselves known, they might be at a point where a little boost would go a long way toward getting them through the dip toward notoriety. Alternately, they may be wishing for a way to develop the skill they need to explore their talents, but lack access to lessons or a community of others on the same path.

It is part of the core mission of The Audiofile Foundation to identify areas where access to quality instruction, community support, and/or mentorship is especially scarce. Once such a case is identified, we assist both directly in the form of equipment, introductions, and financial resources, and indirectly through our network of members to remove barriers of entry and create distinctly unique opportunities for positive creative expression.

In Roger Scruton's "Beauty", he states: “Beauty is vanishing from our world because we live as though it did not matter.” We shall indeed ensure future generations know the importance of beautiful art, dance, and music. Not only is this our edict, it is our imperative.
