The update feed Wave Editor and Sample Manager still ask for, at
 /support/appcast.php on the old domain (see public/_redirects). Those apps
 will not be updated again; this feed tells their users about SoundEdit.

 One information-only item: no
, so no Sparkle can download or
 install anything from it, only show the note and open
("Learn
 More…"). Sparkle builds older than February 2010, Audiofile's own "1.5"
 build among them, reject an item without an enclosure and report no
 update. sparkle:version outranks any build number an old app carries;
 minimumSystemVersion 10.16 hides the note on Macs that cannot run
 SoundEdit (old apps on macOS 11 or later read their system as 10.16).
 The same file serves the RSS readers subscribed to the old feed.

SoundEdit, from the makers of Wave Editor and Sample Manager

This isn’t an update to your app, and your copy stays as it is. It’s a note from Audiofile Engineering: SoundEdit is what we built next.

An audio editor you play like an instrument, with a Library that opens any folder of sounds. Wave Editor’s ideas went into its editor: sounds layered live over the untouched original, plug-in chains kept with the file. Sample Manager’s went into its Library: any folder, heard from the keyboard, with batch work on the rows you choose.

What SoundEdit carries forward from your app, and what to try first

Free to download on the Mac App Store. SoundEdit needs macOS 14 or later.

Skip This Version hides this note.
